Aspects Sponsors Keep on Giving…MORE!

The Goondiwindi region has experienced tough times in recent years with the extended drought affecting the entire community. Businesses, producers and people, going about their daily lives, have all been impacted in some way. So, when Susie Kelly, Chief Steward of Aspects Art Show, began her annual sponsorship drive it was with some trepidation.

But this is a good news story. Her concerns were unfounded and Susie and her team have been overwhelmed by the positive response resulting in nearly $30,000 in prize money for this year’s Aspects Art Show.

“The offers of sponsorship and support have been incredible,” said Susie. “It’s been overwhelming, and we are very thankful.”

“Each year we are amazed, and so very grateful, by the support for our art show but this year’s response has been particularly generous given the conditions.

“So many sponsors expressed their desire to continue supporting Aspects as they see it as an important cultural event for the region, and they enjoy partnering with us. Several sponsors also told me they see our art show as even more important in tougher times given that it is a popular community event with no entry fee.”

Aspects would like to thank the many returning sponsors including McGregor Gourlay Agricultural Services with Nufarm who will continue as a major sponsor of the Opening Night.

In 2020, the Open Section First Prize will have a new $3000 sponsor in JH Fairfax and Son Pty Ltd after many years of support from Reardon Farms.

“We are so pleased to have Gina and Tim Fairfax come on board this year as a sponsor. They have been a part of the region for many years, as farmers from near Toobeah and are massive supporters of the arts in Australia,” explained Susie.

“Our Aspects team is really excited and encouraged by the support of our community and in return will endeavour to present a memorable Aspects Art Show 2020.

“Save the date for the opening night on Thursday 30th April.”
