Entries Close this Wednesday

Painters, illustrators, sculptors, ceramicists, digital artists. Hobbyists and professionals. Young and old. We need your art!

The Aspects Art Show committee has put out the call for entries for this year’s Goondiwindi Show. The Show weekend is fast approaching so it’s time to get into the studio – or kitchen or shed – and produce a work of art to enter. Online entries are due this Wednesday 7th April.

With the number of exhibits increasing each year and an incredible $30,000 in prize money, the Aspects Art Show is recognised as a significant cultural event throughout the Goondiwindi region and beyond. It is also an opportunity for artists to be recognised and sell their art.

Just ask Brisbane artist Emily Day, who has entered for the first time this year.

“I’m entering Aspects because I love regional Australia and I’m so grateful for the support that regional shows and galleries have shown me,” says Emily.

Based in Brisbane, Emily has always painted but only recently became a full-time artist after an inspiring six-month road trip around Australia in 2019 that gave her time to “pick up the brushes again and start producing work more seriously”. She describes her nature-inspired art, that often features Australian native flora, as “full of movement, with loose, layered brush strokes balanced with small areas of detail”.

Join Emily and other artists for your chance to win, or sell, at this year’s Aspects and enter online now - entries close on Wednesday 7th April. Aspects Opening Night is Thursday 29th April, on the eve of the Goondiwindi P&A Show weekend.
